T o d o : m e e t p a r e n t s f r i e n d zSo apparently we were supposed to (we as in QQ and I) get up relatively early again, and by early I mean before noon, because that was the only time Jiujiu had off from work to drive us to where our parents were so we could all be in the same place to get picked up for a dinner gathering with a bunch of my parents' friends. Of course, QQ and I did not. We were still sleeping at around 1 when Jiujiu came knocking, and he called my parents, who for some reason EPIC FREAKED OUT ON US AGAIN. I mean, in my defense, it's not like we had anybody home or any inanimate object to WAKE US THE HELL UP, and I do NOT get up naturally any time... before... like, 6 PM. So that's not on me. Anyway, dad was yelling and he was like "YOU EITHER GET UP AND GO NOW, OR YOU DON'T COME AT ALL." Well, I love parties so of course I wanted to go, but no way in hell was I about to up and go in my current state of being (that is, unshowered, unwashed, dirty hair, sweaty, and grumpy, and oh yes, in my underwear) so I was just like, "We'll take a cab" and for some reason this sparked a series of more freakouts about NO YOU CANT YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING and even when I told the parents I would be doing this in Taiwan by myself in two months and also that I was not a retard and in fact 20 years of age (21 in Chinese years) and YES I knew where to direct the cab driver and NO we were not going to somehow catch the one pedophile driver in town who would take us out to a back alley and rape us silly, that did not fully convince them so I had to hang up the phone on them and let them come to terms with the fact by themselves. I shooed Jiujiu out the door, woke QQ up, took a shower, ate the leftover KFC, and then at around 3, called the parents again (who were relatively calm and accepting of our fate by now), and left. It went well, to say the least, because I'm still here, right? I think I was unnecessarily grouchy to him, the poor guy. Anyway, we got there in one piece, and went up as always to see Yeye for an hour or so before leaving for the restaurant. ( restaurant business. ) | |

T o d o : a b s o l u t e l y n o t h i n kWe were supposed to accompany mom and dad to Yeye's to live for a few days, but they tried and failed to wake us up at 7 and after two hours later, when we FINALLY woke up after threats of them leaving without us, told us not to come anyways. Yeye suddenly worsened last night, particularly bowel-wise, and mom and dad were talking about possibly needing to move him back to the hospital :\. We would only be a hindrance and kind of get in the way, and either way, whoevers house we stayed at, QQ and I would be on our own for most of it anyways. I asked dad what he wanted us to do because this is mostly his thing, and his decision to make, and he said it was better if/we might as well stay at the better apartment (Xiaoyi's penthouse). T o d o : m e e t f i a n c e s ! ?Since we didn't get to bed until around 3 and Caibao didn't have classes today, we ended up sleeping in until I got woken up by the maid at 1:30 because mom was on the phone xD. When I plodded over sleepily in my undies to crabbily croak a "WHAT" into the receiver, mom matter-of-factly told me that we were going to meet Luohongfei, my sister's "future husband" (joke, not really a real deal, but my mom and her two friends' sons are supposed to get married to us because they had a deal when they were preggerz, and now every time we come to China, we have to meet with them ><) in about an hour and that we'd better get ready and look hot. Of course since I'm a drama queen and a bit melodramatic, I (had to, to keep up pretenses, you know ;D) freaked the fuck out because I was really, really unpresentable and QQ was still sleeping, but apparently mom had been calling the house all morning (I vaguely remember the phone ringing.... ._.") so we didn't really have an excuse to be mad at her although she really could have sprung this on us a bit sooner. In her attempt to wake us, she had even called Jiujiu, who was to be our ride over, and he had jokingly suggested climbing up the side of the building and kicking in our window to wake us up since there was no way in - the door was locked and us three sleeping beauties were the only ones home and apparently dead to any wake-up noises. Anyway, I hissed at QQ to wake up, who was just as disgruntled, took a shower, got dressed in some new clothes and shoez, and then finally left with Jiujiu about 45 minutes late. T o d o : S H O P P I N G G G G G G G G .QQ and I woke up once at like, 9 when mom and Xiaoyi woke us to give us monayyy ($600 RMB each, plus Caibao had moar for us already) at around 11 and got ready before Caibao came back from Saturday cram school (ugh, I know) and went SHOPPINGUHHHHHHMYLOVE at Xinjiekou (for some reason I think the Japanese parallel of this would be Shinjuku which would be hilarious, but I'm probably wrong), aka the 'downtown' of Nanjing with the huge skyscrapers and the fabulous malls and basically the tourist destination. ( so much happiness in my life, and not enough moneyz ) - Mood:content

T o d o : m o d e l o r s o m e t h i n g . [extremely pictureheavy ] I went with the gig. They actually offered me moneyz this time, even though it's kind of sucky, but... oh well. It's something. So I asked QQ if she wanted to be my partner for the day (the deal this time was models bring a relative [female] or friend who is at least a little bit photogenic lol) and she was like YES so we both woke up at 7:30 =A= and Maomaojie drove us there. The place was in a back alley somewhere and everybody else was like "..." but I'm kind of used to it because A, China is full of back-alley looking places that are actually not what they seem (or would be in the USA), and B, photography studios don't really care about outer exteriors. We visited yeye today. After breakfast/lunch with jiujiu, jiuma, dayi, and waipo, we drove over to grandpa's house. There was a bit of a miscommunication as to which place - lingxueyuan or suojincun - they were at, and of course with our luck we ended up at the wrong place, thus making waipo grumpy before anything even happened. funny, because we weren't waiting that long, or maybe that was only because I was sleeping for some of it. Anyway, we sat and talked with him for a while. He seems to be in such a better mood and in slightly better health since coming out of the hospital, which is of course understandable. He said something that waso so intuitive I was surprised and then laughed at how cool he is and how underappreciated he was to me when he was well.( what did he say? ) - Mood:drained

my xiaoyidie (uncle) got drunk a few days ago, decided to join my xiaoyi (his wife), my mom, and her three friends to pick my sister and i up from my grandpa's house and to drop the three friends off back home. nobody knows how the hell he made it down the elevator and all the way to the garage where the car was; just that allasudden, he was sitting in the backseat with them. they would push him out, and he'd just roll right back in. they'd kick him out on his ass, and five seconds later he'd be knocking on the window to be let in xD. finally, my cousin (his daughter) caibao had to make an appearance, yell at him, and then literally drag him back inside. there, he started singing loudly, and god knows he can't sing worth a damn, so it was more like crowing and cawing at the top of his lungs. after a bit of effort she got him to lie down on the couch, and he started to ramble random things like "where's your mom" every five seconds, then a rather indignant "your mom can't drive!" before he proceeded to fall off the couch. then he threw up (but to give him due credit, neatly in a baggie). then started warbling old tunes again. she finally tucked him into bed, and a few minutes later, he ambles back out and says "where's your mom?" XDD when we returned, he asked us if we were on vacation yet. ahahahahaha.( moar. mostly inside jokes though. ) | |
